Animal Welfare

Over 56 billion farmed animals are killed every year by humans and it is important to note these figures do not include fish and other sea creatures whose deaths surpass all of land animals and are only measured in tonnes.

Companies that don't necessarily produce meat such as free-range eggs or dairy farms still contribute to this death toll as they slaughter male chicks soon after birth, veal and cows after they have been milked for ~5 years.

Most of the animals killed live in 'factory farmed' conditions for most of their lives with little room to move realise instinctual behaviour.
